Truss System Booth Set up Video

Truss display setup showcases the process of assembling a booth frame for trade shows, expos, and brand events. You can pack, move, and set up these portable frames by your own team with no outside help. The defining feature of every Anything Display exhibit is the easy-to-set-up truss trade show booth with a twist-and-lock system. Every kit comes with all parts, fixtures, and fittings for the job. The sizes range from 10x10 to 10x20, and the 20x20 island configuration.

Set up Video to Watch Before You Build

Anything Display has a truss system setup video; that could help you before your first event. It covers the full build in order, shows the lock steps up close, and flags common mistakes. Guides are available for Atlantis, Sirius, Hydrus, Pavo, Cetus, Pluto, Lynx, Electra, Mars, Omicron, and Canis Island. These are great when a new team member will set up on-site. A 20-minute watch before the show saves real time on the floor.

Key Features of Truss Booth Setup

The frame holds its shape from event to event and gives your brand a bold look on any floor. Here is how to set up a truss trade show booth, from unpacking to the final light check.

Step 1: Unpack and Sort All Components

Open the shipping cases and lay all parts on a flat surface. Sort them by type: frame tubes, connectors, base plates, graphic parts, and spotlight arms. Check the guide from the product page to confirm every piece is there.

Step 2: Connect the Frame Using the Twist & Lock System

Start with the base plates and move the frame tube into its connector. Then give it a twist to lock it in place. These exhibits use a truss booth twist-and-lock system, with a solid click confirming the joint is tight.

Step 3: Install the Vertical Supports and Overhead Elements

On curved models like the Sirius or Cetus, the arched top section slides into the upright posts and twists to lock. On larger island setups, you build in stages and raise each part as you go.

Step 4: Attach Graphics, Tabletops, and Accessories

Hang your printed graphics using the magnetic system or roll-out graphic set in the kit. If you ordered add-ons, add them now. All truss display assembly instructions and templates are available for free download on the product page.

Step 5: Connect the Lights and Do a Final Check

Attach the spotlight arms to the overhead bars and plug them in. Step back and do a quick check. Your modular display setup is complete.

How Long Does These Booth Setups Take?

A 10 x 10 booth takes 60 to 90 minutes on a first setup with one or two people who have read the booth installation guide. Larger 10 x 20 and 20 x 20 setups should take about 2 to 3 hours. Watching the system setup video before the event significantly reduces build time.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q1. How long does it take to set up an exhibit display booth?

Ans. A ten-by-ten exhibit should take about 60 to 90 minutes, and a 20-by-20 island should take about 2 to 3 hours.

Q2. Do modular systems require tools for assembly?

Ans. No. These booths use a twist-and-lock connector system. That is the main win with a DIY trade show booth setup truss system.

Q3. Can one person set up a portable trade show booth?

Ans. Yes. Although with two people, the setup is faster. For anything larger than a 10x10, it is better to work with at least two people.

Q4. Are exhibit booths easy to reconfigure for different events?

Ans. Yes. The parts are fully changeable, so you can build a completely new layout for each show using the same kit. Anything Display’s modular truss system assembly is ideal for exactly this kind of flexibility.

Q5. What is the difference between truss and pop-up displays?

Ans. Pop-up displays use a collapsible system that opens fast and is ideal for quick, lightweight setups. Truss display setups require more steps, but they look more solid and have a much greater visual impact.
